AWC have given winds since 2011 and is Swedens oldest surfski race still running and Europes second oldest. Our first competition was 2010. We have several courses and can offer race in any wind direction. See our course map below.
Program 5-6 july AWC. Two days, two races, more action.
Course Satrurday Arild-Råbocka start 13:00
- Register Thursday 14:00-17:00 at Aterra Kayak Shop,
- Register Friday 12:00-17:00 at Aterra Kayak Shop

- Course for each day will be announced latest 14:00 (2pm) day before race

- 13:00 Woman start.

- From 2 hours after start snacks at the finish area.

Aterra Wave Challenge
Welcome to AWC We have hosted Swedish Championship three times and Nordic Championship one time. 2025 is also our fifth international race. Main course are 28 km, if needed we have severall courses to choose from for all wind directions. Classes AWC 2025, 17-27 km:- Senior Men and Woman all ages.
- Master/U-classes are created according to the number of participants.
AWC will supply with buss transport for participants. Trailers will also be available.
Mandatory safety equipment:
- Competition licence.
- Leg leash
- PFD (life jacket)
- Smoke Flare
- Fox 40 whistle or similar
- You shall be dressed to manage at least 30 minutes in water.
- Colourful clothing on shirt and/or PFD, fully black is not recomended!
- Cellphone with RS Safe Trx (Redningsselskapet) app installed, w. at least 80% battery capacity
- Competitors must be able to re-enter from water. (Spot-check, on demand. The safety officer on the boats or on land have the right to refuse your start.)
- Recommended: PLB, VHF or button cell phone
- Recomended: Sticker on paddle in sharp color

Price money Aterra Wave Challenge
- 20-30 participants 2000 sek / 183 Euro. Due to increased overhead costs we cannot pay prize money for 20-30/p this year.
- 31-40 participants 3000 sek / 275 Euro
- 41-60 participants 4000 sek / 370 Euro
- 61-80 participants 5000 sek / 460 Euro
- >81 participants 6000 sek / 550 Euro
- Price money goes to 1-2-3 place Men & Woman, both races put together.
Skälderviken, one of our courses, june 11-2021:
Ivan Kruger took the goldmedal in Skälderviken, the course gave the participants good waves. Second place to Aron von Bienke and Nils Karls third.
Emma Levemyr was first over the line of the ladys with Jennie Larsson and Teresia Uggla behind.
Master Men: Tommy Karls is back on top, second place was Johan Skärskog and third Team Aterras hard fighting Leif Davidsson.
